Inge was born the youngest of three siblings 1922 in Weidenau in Siegen, where even her sister Ruth and her brother Manfred was born. Her parents owned a clothing store in Weidenau, which had established her great-grandmother with the grandfather Selig Frank around. 1868 Selig Frank was among the founders of the Veterans' Association in Weidenau. Inge's father Samuel Frank was a very respected citizen in Weidenau. He had seven siblings. At the First World War he had participated as a volunteer. The Frank family was strongly influenced conservative. With the Kaiser's abdication in 1918 collapsed a world of Samuel Frank. In the innermost of his heart he felt first a German and then as a Jew. When choosing biographies youths were mainly chosen who survived Nazism. Main idea here is that these biographies on the internet especially by younger people - many more pupils - be read. They are age-close to children and young people described. You should thus be twofold conveys: Once occupy some biographies that could save lives at a young age to make their own decisions. Thus they learn that even today widespread in our democracy Opinion "We can it anyway change anything!" Is incorrect. Secondly, they recognize on the basis of some biographies that there was an action and discretion even in a dictatorship. For the persecuted by the regime people this sure was low. The majority of the population but also had in the dictatorship then a wider range of behavior options, as now occupy many stories. This is to encourage young people to actively shape their future and creative! To say it right away: Inge Frank has a similar fate experienced as the known and almost the same name Anne Frank, but their families are not related.
