Around 1757-58, (brothers) Jonathan and Isaac (Zane) were kidnapped by Indians and lived with them for several years. Following a successful escape, Isaac returned and married Myeerah, the daughter of a Wyandot chief. ~'Zane Grey' By THOMAS H. PAULY Published: January 1, 2006

15. ISAAC6 ZANE (WILLIAM ANDREW5, NATHANIEL4, ROBERT3, ROBERT SR.2, SIMON1) was born 26 November 1753 in Moorefield, Virginia, and died 1816 in Zanesfield, Logan Co. Ohio. He married PRINCESS MYEERAH 1770 in Wheeling, VA, daughter of CHIEF TARHE and MISS DURANTE.
Notes for ISAAC ZANE:
Isaac was kidnaped by Wyandot Indians about 1762 from their home near Moorefield, Virginia, and adopted into the tribe. Marries Princess Myeerah, daughter of the Chief.
Notes for PRINCESS MYEERAH:
Princess Myeerah's mother was a French Canadian who married Chief Tarhe. The Princess was said to have been quite beautiful.
