This is a nice compilation of Hawaiian folktales as told by Nona Beamer. Mixed together are family memories, history and folklore in a way that feels like storytime with a favorite auntie. Some of the stories are more appropriate and interesting for younger children than others, and we read only parts of the book together. The rest I read myself.
