Jack L. Strom, Galesburg Chapel
61, 1705 N. Farnham St., Galesburg, died at 8:23 PM Thursday, January 7, 2010 in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.

He was born November 28, 1948 in Galesburg, the son of Gerald and Beatrice B. Bainbridge Strom. He married Jean Euchaski on April 4, 1991 in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving is a son, Christopher Strom of St. Joseph, MO, 2 step daughters, Nicole Euchaski of Jacksonville, FL and Kristin Mills of Coconut Creek, FL, 3 grandchildren, Alexis Strom, Hannah Strom, and Jaxn Mills, brothers and sisters, Theodore (and Shirlaine) Dawson of Clinton, IA, Carol Ann Horstman of Bagley, WI, Jan (and Wanda) Strom of London Mills, IL, Mary Jo (and Jim) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, and Scott (and Brenda) Strom of Wataga, IL, and a sister-in-law, Kaye Strom of Ft. Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dugan Strom.

Jack worked at Maytag for 15 years, co owned The Steakhouse with his wife, Jean for over 10 years, and had worked for Westcode Manufacturing for 2 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School and attended college. He was a member of Alpha Masonic Lodge #155. Jack loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling with his wife, and cooking.

Funeral will be 1 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Michel Clark will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Monday at the chapel.
