ref An Oriental Biographical Dictionary, Thomas William Beale. [Ya'qub Beg or Sultan Ya'qub. The son of Uzzan Hasan whom he succeeded in 1477 / AH 882, and became the king of the Turkman tribes called Aqqoinlu, or the White Sheep. After his death, he was succeeded by his son Alwand Beg, who was defeated about the year 1500 / AH 996, by Shah Ismail I Safwi. (Safavi)].

and appointed his brother, Ya'qiib Mirza, governor of Diyar Bakr.] Sultan Klialll (governor of Fars during his father's life time) succeeded to the throne, and appointed his brother, Ya'qiib Mirza, governor of Diyar Bakr.

Sultan Khalil proved weak, and the nobles of his court declared for Ya'qiib Mirza, who, thereupon, advanced on Adharbayjan. In the ensuing battle near Marand I3 , on Rabi' II, 14, 883 "/July 15, 1478, Sultan Khalil lost his life and Ya'qiib Mirza, oocupied Tabriz.

Ya'qiib Mirzii ascended the throne. Ahmad Beg ibn Sultan Khalil and Kusa Hajji Bayandar, rose in revolt at Shiror. and Isfahan respectively, but the rebellions were easily suppressed. Similarly, in 886/1481-82, Bayandar Beg rose in revolt at Isfahan, but was &ilfed by the king's vanguard commanded by Sufi Khalil.

In 887/1482-83, Ya'qiib Mirza invaded Georgia, and in the following year he built a beautiful palace, named Hasht Bihisht (Eight Paradises), outside Tabriz 13 .

Being envious of Sultan Haydar's increasing power, Ya'qiib Mirza seized the opportunity of helping Farrukh Yassar, the Shirvan Shah, against Sultan Haydar, who had set out from Ardabil for the invasion of CharkaS,' and Daghistan. In the ensuing battle, on Rajah 20, 893/July 1, 1488, Sultan Haydar lost his life, and his son and successor, Sultan 'All Mirza aroused the suspicion of Ya'qiib Mirza, whereupon, in the end of Rabi' II, 894/end of March 1489, Sultan 'All Mirza, his brothers, Ibrahim Mirza and Isma'il Mirza, and their mother, were imprisoned in the fort of Istakhr in Fars.] ...
