Martha Halima Alam Shah Begom (Halimeh Beygom) Aq Qoyunlu

Yakub, who is not the son of Uzun Hasan who succeeded him as ruler of the Aq Qoyunlu; Bryer believes he was killed by another wife of Uzun Hasan soon after his death in 1478; Marta (also called Halima), who married Shaykh Haydar in 1471/1472; Martha became the mother of first Safavid king, Shah Ismail I, who became the ruler of Iran and established Shia Islam as the state religion. Two other daughters. These Caterino Zeno met in Damascus, where he spoke to them in Pontic Greek.

She was killed by her son Shah Ismail I because she attempted to divert him from the path of heresy and cruelty. ref: page 119 of

She was imprisoned with her 3 sons in the fort of Estakhr in Fars, by Jakub beg (Soltan Yaqub) Aq Qoyunlu/Uzun Hassan's son.:

[Being envious of Sultan Haydar's increasing power, Ya'qiib Mirza seized the opportunity of helping Farrukh Yasgr, the ShirwSn Shah, against Sultan Haydar, who had set out from Ardabil for the invasion of CharkaS,' and Daghistan. حلیمه خاتون، دختر اوزون حسن آق قویونلو و مادر شاه اسماعیل صفوی می‌باشد. او دختر تئودورا٬ دختر امپراتور ترابوزان ژان چهارم٬ است. نام مسیحی اش مارتا است و به عالمشاه بیگم نیز معروف می‌باشد.

او در عنفوان جوانی به همسری شیخ حیدر از نوادگان شیخ صفی الدین اردبیلی در می‌آید و به دین اسلام می گرود. وی مادر شاه اسماعیل صفوی، موسس سلسله صفوی می باشد. اطلاعات بیشتری از زندگی وی در دست نیست.
