1 April 1678: Empanelled in a jury in Henrico County, VA to determine boundary line between Mr. George Worsham's land and that of John Willson.
20 August 1678: Deposition taken from James Baugh, giving his age as 23 years, as a witness in the matter of an assault (blackened, bruised eyes) on Richard Withers by William Puckett.
1683: James Baugh, 119A. 1R. 30po. acres, Henrico Co., VA.
27 March 1686: Along with Henry Walthall witnessed the will of Thomas Lockett of the parish of Bristol, Henrico County, VA.
2 June 1690: "James Baugh by his peticon declareing that he hath a negroe woman who is soe old & impotent that he hath a charge rather than a benefit unto him; & therefore praying that she may be exempted from out of ye Lists of tythables; The truth of his sd Peticon being made appear to ye Court It is order'd That ye sd negroe be for ye future exempted from ye paymit of publiq & County Levyes."
April 1705: Listed on the Henrico County Rent Roll holding 458 acres.
12 JAN. 1723: "Bristol P'sh: At a Vestry called at the church 12 January 1723/24. It is ordered that whereas Mr. James Baugh, deceased was appointed to procession from Puckett run down to ye lower end of the P'sh, Mr. Alexander Marchell's by this vestry to officiate with Benj. Locket in the room of the dec'd Baugh." [a processioner is one who determines land boundaries]
