"Kenner Seaton was born on 13 Mar 1753 in Fauquier County, Virginia. He died on 29 Jul 1829 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was buried in Seaton Cemetery, Seatonville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. Kenner Seaton married (1) Rachel Chenoweth daughter of John Chenoweth and Mary Calvert or Smith in 1772 in Berkeley County, West Virginia. Rachel was born on 7 May 1754. She died on 4 July 1807 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Kenner Seaton married (2) Mrs. Jane Mundel on 30 Jul 1808 in Shelby County, Kentucky. Jane died in 1838 in Adams, Illinois."

James Seaton III served in the Revolutionary War and was on infrequent duty with the County Militia on guard against the British aided indians. In 1782 he was listed as an owner of one slave. On April of 1786, he surveyed 300 acres in Washington County, Pennsylvania which is presently Greene Co. On July 10, 1789, he patented the triangle of land extending from Little Whiteley Creek & extending north in Cumberland Twp., Greene County, Pennsylvania. In the 1798 is listed as the owner of a two story frame dwelling of ten windows & 104 lights valued at $250, with a kitchen building of logs with eight windows setting on a two acre lot.
