James Wayne Likens

James W. Likens, 86, Frankfort., died at 8:15 P.M. Tuesday. July 6, 2010., at his home. He was born October.12, 1923., in Lebanon to Leroy and Ivy (Doty) Likens.

He married Bertha Garrett on December 10, 1942., in Lebanon and she survives. Mr. Likens attended Labanon High School. he worked for the railroad for 11 years and Alcoa for 30 years retiring in 1984. He also sheered sheep. Mr. Likens formerly attended Faith Baptist Church. He was a member of Eagles Lodge for 32 years and enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and traveling.

Survivors in addition to his wife. Bertha Likens of Frankfort, include three daughters. Janet Boller of Colfax. Erma (Jack) Kelly of Moran and Mary Birge of Frankfort: a brother. Lester Likens of California; 11 grandchildren,32 great-grandchildren and sex great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Joyce: a brother, Bernard Likens., and a sister. Jesse Abbott. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday. July 10., at Goodwin Funeral Home.200 S. Main St. Frankfort. Visitation will be 4 to 8 P.M. Friday. July 9 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
