    1. The attached files are regarding James' pension. The first, Image:McHenry-133.pdf Revolutionary War Pension is a copy of the pension itself. Note the reference to 'Old Christmas' (January 6th based on the Julian Calendar) and 'New Christmas'.
    2. The second, titled Image:McHenry-133-1.pdf Book, is a brief summary of James' pension and affidavit. The book's title is unknown. This was typed out with spelling and grammar mistakes correct so it is more easily interpreted by the reader.
    3. The third document, titled Image:McHenry-133-2.pdf transcript, is a transcript of James' pension application and complete afadavit. It includes all of the misspellings as it was originally written. Empty spaces are words that could not be identified when the transcript was made. Note that James' could not write by his own admission in the affidavit, therefore the misspellings are attributed to whomever wrote out the original document, an employee of the Wayne County Kentucky Court. The vernacular of the time is very present in this last document. While some may find it difficult to read, it's an excellent look at the period. 'betwist' is used for 'between', 'borned' for 'born', and so on.
