About James Morgan, Sr.
A Patriot of the American Revolution for VIRGINIA with the rank of PRIVATE. DAR Ancestor #: A080442
James served 138 days in Captain David Scott's company in Dunmore's War. He was paid at Fort Pitt in 1775.
The family moved to Knox County OH in 1806. James bought 160 acres of land in present day Wayne County OH October 22, 1808 and paid the final payment August 3, 1812. His official patent for the land was dated November 14, 1812.
