Based on the 1810 Census of Bucks County: He and his wife had 6 children (3 male, 3 female)

• three males under 10, one 10-16, James 27-45; one female under 10, two 11-16, Charlotte 27-45
  • the three males include Charles and Thomas and perhaps Jesse
  • the one male (unknown)
  • the one female is Phebe
  • the two females 11-16 are Ann Jones (Roberts) and (unknown) {}Perhaps Caroline if she was born in 1793-1794

In 1811 3 or 4 were in school aged 5-12 years

~• Alexander Bother (sic) (Bothwell) of Southampton, carpenter married Caroline, dau. of James Roberts of same place at Hinkle's Tavern in Newtown. The “of Southampton" is worth paying attention to as James is said to be "of the same place". We should now extend our focus to Southampton as well.¶ James was a tenant farmer and shoemaker so he did/could have moved over township lines.
