Rites were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from Deep Branch Church for James Sampson, 78, who died Saturday at the home of a relative on the new Red Springs Road on Lumberton, R. 3. He had formerly lived on Lumberton, R. 4. Officiating at the rites were Rev. T. M. Swett, in charge, assisted by Rev. Zimmy Chavis and Rev. Roy Maynor.

He had formerly lived on Lumberton, R. 4. Officiating at the rites were Rev. T. M. Swett, in charge, assisted by Rev. Zimmy Chavis and Rev. Roy Maynor.
