Jane Godfrey was born about 1652 at Taunton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Richard Godfrey, and his wife whose last name was Turner.[1]

She married twice, first to Israel Woodward on Aug. 4, 1670.[2] They had two children:[1]

1. Elizabeth Woodward b 15 Jun 1670; m Robert Taft
2. Israel Woodward b 18 Sep 1674; m Bennet Eddy After Israel's death, Jane married a second husband John Cobb of Taunton. They were married June 13, 1676 in Taunton.[3] They had four children:[1]

John Cobb married Jane Godfrey Woodard on June 13, 1676 in Taunton.[24] They had four children:[25]

1. John Cobb b 31 Mar 1677/8; m Mary Farrington
2. Morgan Cobb b ca 1680; m Sarah Harvey
3. Samuel Cobb b ca 1682; had a child with an unidentified wife
4. Mary Cobb b ca 1691/2; m William Hoskins
