About Jemina Griffith

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/96104608/jemima-griffith

Born about 1815. Twice married, she was first the wife of Lot Bergstresser, and secondly the wife of James Griffith who passed about 20 years before her. She had 11 children with her first husband, and none with her second.

While unproven, this gent may be her second husband, as his name is right and his date of passing is close to what is stated in her obituary about his passing about 20 years earlier than she did. Present records on the site have only two men of his name in Dauphin County, and this gent the only one in the correct timeframe.

Her obit says her second husband was a Justice of the Peace, which certainly matches the above-linked James W. Griffith.

That obit calls her Mrs. J. B. Griffith and calls her husband James Griffith, so I thought he must be James B. Griffith, until I realized the obit may have used Jemima Bergstresser Griffith to cover both her husbands, or that her own middle name may have begun with a "B".
