About Jennings Fairdie Sanford
Jennings Fairdie Sanford, 78, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Friday, December 26, 2003, at his home.
He was the husband of Sarah (Stephens) Sanford and the son of the late William F. and Bessie (Pruitt) Sanford.
A retired salesman from Sears after 30 years of service, he was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Gail Sanford of Spartanburg and Sheila Gregory of Spartanburg; two sons, Allen Sanford and Steve Sanford of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Hazel Tipton and Sarah Griffin of Inman; two brothers, Earl Sanford of Cooley Springs and Herman Sanford of Inman; seven grandchildren, Traci Bagwell, Ashley Montgomery, Amy Daniels, Julie Sanford, Emma Sanford, John Grizzle, Jennifer Landers; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Mountain View Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. John Payne and Brian Horton. The body was placed in the church from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Mountain View Baptist Church Building Fund, 5555 Parris Bridge Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
