About Jesse Barnett

Revolutionary Soldier under the command of Captains Richard Harrison & Cowan along with Colonels Joseph Taylor & Reed. Granville County Regiment Hillsborough 1775-1783 Colonel Joseph Taylor. He also performed patriotic service by rendering material aid and he took the oath of allegiance. His residence at this time was in Hillsborough District, Granville County, North Carolina now Hillsborough, Orange County North Carolina.
It is unlikely that his mother was Katherine Barnett, as she would have been over 60 in 1749.
