September 6, 1649: Thomas Stanton plaintiff contra Joan Sipperance in an action for slander to the utter undoing of his wife's good name and almost taking away her life, to the damage of £200. Awarded 30 shillings plus costs.

December 6, 1649: Joan Sipperance is adjudged to pay double for the lace she stole and threefold for the time she absented herself from her master's service.
