Joe C. Hart, 88, of Switz City, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Lyons Health & Living Center.
Born February 8, 1918 in Greene County, he was the son of James Lloyd Hart and Hulda (Casner) Hart.
He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include: a son Joseph L. Hart of Bloomfield; a daughter Mitzie Jo Hart of Worthington; two sisters, Ruth Michael of Bedford, and Maxine Mooney of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Joey Hart, Julie Hoffman, Nathan Hart, Cheyenne Riley, and Kristin Hart; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Ruth Delores (Shonk) Hart, who passed away in 1959, his second wife Jaunietta Jean (Wilson) Hart, who passed away in 2006, and three sisters, Nellie Hogue, Verna Frost, and Marjorie Winters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with Rev. Matt Hoffman officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
