About Johann Sebastian Cline

A Patriot of the American Revolution for NORTH CAROLINA. DAR Ancestor # A065969



Johann (John) Sebastian Klein was the son of Moritz Klein and Anna Catherine Marlzoff. He was born in Palantine, Germany.

He immigrated on the ship "Robert and Alice" and landed in Philadephia, PA in 1737. He settled in a section now known as Reading, PA, and he married Susan Christina Elizabeth Bieber in 1740. He and Susan were the parents of eleven children: Daniel, Christopher, William, Elizabeth, Utily, Christina, Mary, John, Michael, Jacob, and Katherine.

Some time before 1768 he moved to NC and entered a large tract of land granted to him by the Earl of Granville.

The Kleins were a large family and have numerous descendants spread through many areas.
