About Johann Georg Christian, Prinz von Lobkowicz

He was the son of Ferdinand August (1655 – 1715) and Maria Anna Wilhelmine, Countess from Baden-Baden.
Biography
Came from a family of ancient Bohemian aristocracy. The November 11, 1718 married to Carolina Henriette von Waldstein Prague (1702 – 1780), who bore him 10 children, two of whom were killed in action and two were awarded the order of the Golden Fleece.
Johann Georg Christian was progenitor of the branch (Hořín)/Mělník dynasty of Lobkowitz.
He fought the Turks under Prince Eugene of Savoy, and in 1732 he became Governor of Sicily. The November 28, 1739 he was awarded the order of the Golden Fleece.
In 1741 he became field marshal. During the war of Austrian Succession he fought before the French and Bavarians between Prague and Munich, and later from 1743 to 1745 he was Governor of the Duchy of Milan and Commander of the Imperial Army in Italy. In this function he was defeated by the Hispano-Neapolitan in Velletri in August 1744.
The September 30, 1745 participated, alongside the Duke of Lorraine, at the battle of Soor against the Prussians under Frederick the Great defeated emerged.
