In Jun 1893, Johanna was immunised at Bungaree by Dr. Jordon of Ballarat. She was recorded as being two years old and was presented with her little brother John Patrick who was 12 months old.
Johanna was 21 years old when she died at Bungaree. The Ballarat Cemetery records show that she died at Bullarook and that her occupation was home duties. She is buried at the Ballarat New Cemetery in grave RCC.8.8.R1, with her mother, Ellina Maher, and two nephews, Francis and Kevin Joseph, both sons of her brother John Patrick.
A memorial notice was placed in the Ballarat Courier two years after her death by her mother, stepfather, Denis and brothers and sisters.
