Goethals names her parents without citing the source which confirms this information[685]. “Joanna de Nevele domina de Boular et de Schendelbeke” donated “pratum in Rasebeke” to Beaupré, for the souls of “dominæ meæ Mathildis quæ fuit filia Roberti boni comitis Flandriæ, et domina de Florines et de Beverne...Sigeri de Liedekercke qui fuit dominus de Boular...Roberti domini de Nevele...meæ...Nicolai de Bailleul domini de Rossoit...Mathildis dominæ de Rossoit ipsius uxoris”, by charter dated 3 Mar 1341[686]. Johanna van Mortagne [386], vrouw van Boelare en Schendelbeke stichtte samen met haar echtgenoot Zeger van Gavere, heer van Liedekerke en Boelare, op 26 april 1317 een kapelanij. In 1325 werd zij vermeld als vrouw van Boelare en Schendelbeke en op 2 augustus 1344 als Jane van Nevele, vrouwe van Boelaer.

Johanna of Mortagne [386], wife of Boelare and Schendelbeke founded a chapelry together with her husband Zeger van Gavere, lord of Liedekerke and Boelare, on April 26, 1317. In 1325 she was mentioned as wife of Boelare and Schendelbeke and on 2 August 1344 as Jane of Nevele, lady of Boelaer.
