There is a curious listing in the 1870 Neshoba Co, MS census (in FRA). Is this possibly the same family?
1870 Census Neshoba Co, MS (Philadelphia P.O.) #432 JOHN P. ARLEDGE 39 m. far. 350 1000 Ala; Sarah Q. 26 f Ala; John W. 10 m Miss; Sarah F. 8 f Miss.; Sarah An 6 f Miss; Mary C. 2 f Miss. This household is very near #427 William W. SMITH 45 m. far. Ala; Mary 45 f. SC; DODDY ARLEDGE 65 f. SC. It is clear the latter is Drady Owen Arledge, so Mary was probably her daughter.

John ARLIDGE, Houston Co on waters of White Rock Creek of Trinity River, about 6 miles from Crockett, 25 Sept 1871; 350 acres. There is a very interesting clause that's hard to read that says: "Field notes of a Survey of 350 acres ... made by virtue of Duplicate Certificate No 4/197 1st class. Spued (?) by S. Crosby on 31st day of May 1864 for one third of a League. Original No. 163 pued (?) by Board Comrs of Harrisburg Co date not given to hiers Isaac ARLIDGE Dec..." It's hard to read but in pencil on cover it says something about Isaac Arledge and John Arledge. I never saw the middle initial "P" in the documents.
