John Barnes

There are dozens of children baptised in the early 1800s in Wigton with the parents John and Mary Barnes. There are a couple of names that occur too close together to be necronyms, so it is clear there are at least two families in the records.

We do know that one John Barnes was the son of John Barnes and Mary Ismay, but the correct pair of parents is unknown for most of them at the moment but investigation of the graves in Wigton might reveal the grouping of some of them.
