Biography
John Bryant, son of Stephen and Mehitable Bryant, was baptized at Plymouth July 4, 1708. It is said that he died at Rehoboth, Massachusetts July 8, 1759, but his death is not listed in the town vital records, nor was a probate record found for him.[1]
John married first, before 1730, Hannah Sands, daughter of ______ Sands and Patience Gibbins. He married second Mary (Cole) McLucas, widow of John McLucas.[1]
John's known children are (all but last with wife Hannah Sands):
- Hannah, b before 1730; bp May 26, 1751 as an adult
- Mehitable, b say 1732; bp Aug 18, 1753 as servant to Rev. Moses Morrill
- John, b about 1735 at Ipswich; probably married Hannah Crockett of Falmouth
- Jerathamell Bryant, b about 1736; m Sarah McLucas
- Ephraim, b July 10, 1739
- Molly Cole Bryant, bp Sept 24, 1751; m John Griffin Davis
