They moved from Iowa to Papillion, Neb., when Aunt Ada was seven months old. As you can see by the birthplaces, they kept moving farther west. They came to the farm north of Munden in December, 1900. My mom said they left the farm north of Mina on Dec. 1 and came out here in covered wagon. It took two days to make the 65 miles, which was good time.
Grandpa and three older boys had brought everything they could before. The last trip they all came and brought all the rest. Only Grandpa and the boys had seen the place before the rest came. House was only 14 years old.
Opal Faye Jenkins Eiseman wrote this letter to Marjie in 1986. Guess she got information from her mother. I know they were to Mina and Oketo, Kansas one time looking at the old houses.
