Funeral services were held in Aberdeen, S. D., for John Cleland, former Dundas resident who had passed away at the age of 81, in Aberdeen. Mr. Cleland was born in Canada on September 18, 1865, and moved with his family to Dundas on November 26 of that same year, when he was still an infant. He lived in this community for several years and left to return again in 1910. He resided here at that time from 1900 until 1910. A rest home in Aberdeen has been his home during these last years. He is survived by his brother, Harvey of Dundas, and three sisters: Mrs. Mary Dixon of Robbinsdale, Mrs. David Clark (Jessie) of Eden Prairie and Mrs. Wallace Simming of Crystal City, Manitoba. A brother, Frank Cleland, died recently; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Manuel (Amanda) of Danbury, Wis., and Mrs. Lowell Emery of Canada have preceded him in death.
