I'm having a hard time finding his will that is listed in the Fairfield index. It may have become lost or destroyed somehow. But I did find a reference to his death in the Fairfield Journal:

"South Carolina Probate Records, Bound Volumes, 1671-1977," images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:939L-V394-8L?cc=1919417&wc=... : 21 May 2014), Fairfield > Journal, 1801-1843, Vol. 02 > image 167 of 192; citing Department of Archives and History, Columbia.
