2. John born 1757 at "Pine Slash," died ca. 1791 at age 34 at “Leatherwood,” Revolutionary War soldier, buried in unmarked grave at "Leatherwood," Henry Co., VA, married Susannah Walker (she remarried 1798 to Richard White and died in Abingdon, VA).

- Edmund born 1791, children, moved to Iowa ca. 1832, died 1855, age 63, buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Percy, Iowa.

"I have been to Red Hill several times in Virginia and know that the Patrick Henry Society does not accept that John had more than one child, named Edmund who supposedly had l3 children. I have never seen a list of Edmund's children so that might be an interesting avenue ...." (2)
