Born in Narbo, Norway on March 4, 1905. At the age of five he moved to the United States to join his father Haldor Jacobson on their homestead north of Zurich. He was raised on the farm and worked in the Zurich, Chinook and Havre areas until moving to Seattle in 1940. He married Roseva Gifford on June 27, 1942. He worked at Boeing during World War II and later worked at Standard Steel Fabricating. He retired in 1971 after 23 years with this company as pattern and layout man. He was a member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers, Local No. 506 and a member of the board. He was also a 37-year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Seattle Area No. 1, and a six-year member of Lake City Elks in Seattle, Lodge No. 1800. Mr. Jacobson is survived by his wife, Roseva; three brothers, Harold of Columbus, Martin of Dallas, Tex. and Gordon of Shelton, Wash.; three sisters, Gerd Callant of Harlowtown, Margaret Krawitz of Santa Clara, Calif. and Helen Williams of Havre; 27 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.
