McClintock,a private in the Civil War. He was a member of Co. G, 156th OhioNational Guard. He enlisted in Wapakoneta, May 1864 and wasdischarged September 14, 1864.McClintock was the son of Charles and Mary Jane McClintock andwas born in Miami county, Ohio. In 1847 his family moved toAuglaize county and settled five miles north of Wapakoneta onTwo Mile creek. He had two brothers who also served as soldiersof the Union, Andrew and William, the latter of whom was but 17years old when he enlisted.Private McClintock was born March 24, 1838 and died Oct 4, 1868.He is buried in a small family burial plot four miles north ofWapakoneta on State Route 501.Will was recorded on December 2, 1868 in Auglaize county -He left everything to his wife.
