John was convicted of stealing steel and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Charlotte"

John was sent to Norfolk Island in 1788

John died 6/8/1788 at Norfolk Island (drowned in a boating accident with James CUNNINGHAM, William WESTBROOK, Laurence TOMLINSON)
