NOTA BENE: Do not confuse this John with Sir John Willys, 2nd Baronet Willys of Fen Ditton. They have apparently been claimed to be the same person, but they are not.

Samuel Howard Sloan (Wikipedia article | Geni profile #1 | Geni profile #2 | ySearch profile | profile in his personal family tree database) has long been asserting that this Willis family - from which he descends - in turn descends from Sir Thomas Willys, 1st Baronet Willys of Fen Ditton. Several genealogists have supposedly disproven Sloan's assertion, but Sloan continues to adhere to it.
