According to the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Jonathan Hyde's two wives were Dorothy Kidder and Abigail (Stiles) Curtis. Hannah Jackson was the wife of Jonathan's younger brother, John.
2. Jonathan Hyde, his younger brother, who m. 1 Mary French, and 2 Mary Rediat, and had 19 children. He was the grandfather of Jonathan Hyde who settled at Pomfret, Conn., in 1714, and had 6 sons ; and who waspro- l)ably the ancestor of most of the Pomfret and Canterbury Hydes, whose descendants are now extensively scattered in different parts of the U. S. He was the ancestor of the Rev. Ephraim Hyde who grad. at Yale, 1759, and was minister of Rehol^oth, and of the venerable Dr. John Angier Hyde, a distinguished physician of Frceport, Me., who was living in 1856, at the advanced age of 84 years.
