Jonathan Morgan

Jonathan Morgan was the son of Miles Morgan and Prudence Gilbert, and the husband of Sarah Cooley. He served in King Philip's War and participated in Turner's Falls Fight under Capt. William Turner.

Born on 27 Feb 1653/1654 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Sarah died aft 10 Sep 1714; she was 61. On 15 Jan 1679/1680 when Sarah was 25, she married Jonathan MORGAN, son of Miles MORGAN & Prudence GILBERT, in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Born on 16 Sep 1646 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Jonathan died in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, in 1714 or 1730; he was 67. They had the following children:

i. Sarah. Born on 8 Dec 1680 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA.

ii. Jonathan. Born on 27 Nov 1682 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA.

iii. Mary. Born on 19 Apr 1684 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA.

LLEWELYN ap IVOR of Tredegar, Lord of St Clear, married Angharad, daughter of Sir Morgan ap Meredith, from the Welsh Lords of Caerleon, ap Griffith ap Meredith ap Rhys, who bore "Argent a lion rampant sable."
