About Joseph "Joe" Bohac Bohac
Joseph “Joe” Bohac, 94, of Wahoo died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo.
He was born March 17, 1912, in rural Plasi to Jon and Marie (Zmeck) Bohac. He attended school at District 90 Crowder School, west of Touhy. While growing up, he worked with his family on their farm. He married Stacie Dvorak on Nov. 22, 1938, in Dwight. They farmed in the Touhy, Dwight and Valparaiso areas. He retired from farming in 1974. They moved to Wahoo in 1983. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Z.C.B.J. Fraternal Lodge
Survivors include: his wife; four sons, Del (and wife, Gerry) Bohac of Wahoo, Richard (and wife, Toni) Bohac of Garland, Marvin (and wife, Jan) Bohac and Dennis (and wife, Geradette) Bohac, all of Valparaiso; a daughter, Adeline Dostal (and friend, Herman Wiese) of Wahoo; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two brothers and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, six sisters and a brother.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo with the Rev. Sean Timmerman officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. today at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo and after 6 p.m. at the church with a scriptural rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Wahoo.
