- Wife Sarah-land whereon I now live during her' widowhood, and three negroes Spencer, James, and Letty, during her natural life. At my wifes marriage or death, the land, and also the land in Richmond County purchased of my son John Pope, to my son Richard and his heirs, and if son Richard should die without an heir of his own body, the two tracts of land to my son Joseph Pope and his heirs.
- Son John Pope-my negro man Adam, nine head of cattle, thirteen head of hogs, ten barrels of corn, one bed and furniture, one gun, all which he now has in his possession, and thirty pounds current money to be paid him in twelve months after my decease.
- Son .Thomas Pope-two negroes Jessee, and Sue and her increase, and negro boy Natus in place of the forty pounds I received for negro woman Moll, who was hanged.
- Son Richard Pope-negro boy Malachi, and negro girl Dorcas.
- Son George Pope-negro girls Grace, and Fanny.
- Daughter Elizabeth Davenport-negro man Will, and thirty pounds.
- Daughter Mary Oldham-negro man Charles.
- Daughter Sally Pope-negro girls Judith and Sinah, and negro man Spencer, after death of my wife.
- Grandson Joseph Davenport-negro boy Joshua.
- Son Richard Pope-negro man James, at death of my wife.
- Negroes George, Eve, and Lefty, and their increase, after decease of my wife to be equally divided among my three sons Richard, Joseph, and. George, when they become eighteen. years of age. Wife-to have use of one feather bed and furniture and one small chest during her life, and at her death to my daughter Sally Pope. After cloathing my wife and those of my children that are in my family at the time of my death, That my crop of tobacco together with my riding chair be sold,, to raise part of the money that I have given to my son John, and daughter Elizabeth.
- The provisions that are in the house are to be for the support of my family.
- Negroes and moveable estate to be kept together until the legacies given in money can be raised, and after it is paid the rest of my estate to be equally divided among my wife and all my children, and in case any of my said children should die under the age of twenty one without children, their estate to be equally divided among the surviving children which I have had by my said wife.
- My younger children shall have their estate delivered to them at the age of eighteen years.
