About Joseph Albert Wurster, Jr.
Recollections
I barely knew my grandfather. He died when I was about five. What I did know about him could be summarized as follows:
(1) He loved to go fishing
(2) He grew excellent tomatoes that were talked about by family members everywhere (3) He had a quiet kind of humor that completely went over the head of my grandmother
The family grocery business he helped found and run (together with his brothers) he bequeathed to his sons Joe and Karl. Joe and Karl eventually sold their shares to their cousins/partners when fissures developed between them. The business folded about a decade later.
