About Joseph Youngs
Biography
Joseph was the son of Rev. John Youngs who immigrated from Yarmouth to New England aboard the Mary Ann and arrived in New England on 15 May 1637. His mother is probably Joan Harris. He was born "after Jan 1633/4; died soon before 12 April 1675), m. Sarah Wines, daughter of Barnabas, father of John"[1]
Child:
- John b. Southold 16 May 1664;[2] He probably died young.[3]
Speculation: Two Josephs or One?
This profile originally had Joseph, husband of Sarah Wines, born in Watertown, Massachusetts about 1641. This would not match the Joseph, son of John who immigrated in 1637. There is the possibility that there were two sons with this name. Perhaps the first Joseph died shortly after the crossing and a younger brother born in 1641 was given his name. Removed this data but retained here in case evidence for two Josephs emerges.
