Julia Ann McKee

Birth: Aug. 13, 1811 Death: Feb. 2, 1898 Vincennes Knox County Indiana, USA

Julia was called "Gammy" by her granddaughter, who was my grandmother. Julia and Archibald were married in 1831 in a log house that belonged to her brother. It was still being lived in up until 1977. The house was still standing when I visited Vincennes in 1998. It had been in relatively good shape until about two weeks before I saw it. A severe wind storm had come through the area and damaged it just prior to my visit.
