Pyhäjoki , Kuolleet, 1741 http://digi.narc.fi/digi/view.ka?kuid=9338991 (Änckan Karin Thorfastsdotter från Leppäluoto, född i Pitheå Sockn och Wästerbotn ongefär 78 år.)
NB. Women did never take on their husbands' last name during this time, not in Sweden at least.
Her farme name was Leppäluoto.
In Northern Ostrobothnia farmers did not usually have surnames at all. There was only farm names which was used in documents as additional names, and those names changed when people moved to an other farm, same thing in men and women. It was like an address. In Geni it is recommendable to add the farm name in the surname field to Finnish farm owners and their family members because it is much more easier to stay informed when there's so many Matts Johanssons and Maria Pehrsdotters. But it is probably ok that Carin Thorfastsdotter don't have that name, she was after all not the hostess of the Leppäluoto farm. - SH
