He is a Lawyer,freedom Fighter and an active Indian National Congress. He was the Dy.Speaker of the Travancore & Cochin State 's first Lesiglature. in 1948.

KG is called the emperor of Secularism in his birthplace. He was a member of the undividen Indian National Congress of the Nehru-Kamraj Era. Kamaraj,Fakrudeen Ali Ahamed and Nijalingappa had visited the remote village of Punnayurkulam to hold discussions. The greatness of KG is that all communities, and religions,all political parties considered him as the most honest sociopolitical national leader . Everybody had a good opinion about his views on Politics and social development. Though by profession , he had taken BA BL from Madras Uty , he opted to remain a farmer in Punnayurkulam and do his utmost to the Kol Puncha fields of Thrissur Palghat areas. He was elected as MLA from Guruvayur and Ponnani Niyojakamandalam , and was the deputy leader of the Congress Parliamentary party of R.Sankar Ministry. Apart from sociopolitical activities he was interested in music,dance, poetry and Drama of our culture. He was a person who combined compassion and arts with sociopolitical ideals of the Gandhi-Nehru Congress .
