Londonderry Sentinel – October 3, 1922 Marriage – On 26th September 1922 at St Anne Monellan Church, Cyril James Homan, rector of Raphoe, youngest son of late Rev Canon Homan of Eglington Park, Kingstown, to Kathleen youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Craig of Finn View, Killygordon, Donegal.
"The village of Killygordon was ‘en fete’ when Miss Kathleen Craig, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs John Craig, was married to the Rev Canon Homan of Raphoe on Tuesday the 26th of September. Monellan Church had been beautifully decorated by willing friends of the bride, who made a charming picture as she entered the church on the arm of her father, attired in white Georgette, embroidered in silver, with a tulle veil and silver wreath. She was attended by her niece, Miss Peggy Coutts, wearing a dainty frock of shot blue and silver, with a black picture hat. The Rev Mr Harvey ably performed his duties as best man. After the ceremony, Mr and Mrs Craig entertained a few friends to lunch. The happy couple left by motor to catch the mail train at Strabane, en route for their honeymoon, which is to be spent in England. The bride wore a smart navy blue costume, trimmed with mole fur, and a hat to match. The presents were numerous and handsome."
Married Rev. Cyril James Homan, rector of Raphoe Cathedral, at St. Anne Church, Monellan, Co. Donegal, in 1922. Took on various duties as wife of Dean Homan: Chief of Girl Guides in Donegal; sang in the Cathedral choir. She was a fine singer and took part in the local singing contests.
"As a nursing sister in a London hospital during WWI, my mother herself was wounded. She received a shrapnel splinter in the little finger of her right hand after a German zeppelin dropped its load," from memoirs of her son Peter Homan.
When her husband retired in 1958, they moved to Bangor, Co. Down. In the 1970s they moved to a retirement home in Newcastle, Co. Down, where she died in 1976. She is buried in Newcastle.
