Andrew Lundy of Benholm is identified as the grandson of Robert Lundy of Benholm in Dr. Robert Lundie's account of the family (another Robert Lundy of Benholm intervening), but this is wrong. Lundie of Benholm Andrew Lundy of Benholm is in fact the son of Robert Lundy of Benholm, rather than his grandson. The House of Benholm

2 June 1523: Sasine to Andrew Lundy [Lundie], as heir of the deceased Robert Lundy [Lundie] of Benhome [Benholm] his father, of the lands of Inchmedane [Inchmeddan], Tulloch of Benhome [Tully of Benholm] and Kyrktone of Benholme [Kirkton of Benholm], with the mill thereof; which had been in nonentry for four years, and to which Andrew had the King's Dispensation to enter notwithstanding his minority. On Chancery Precept of Clare Constat, dated 25 June an.reg. 10 (A.D.1523). Sasine dated 2 June 1523.
