About Lionel Lemoine Fitzgerald
LeMoine Fitzgerald (1890 - 1956) was a member of the Group of Seven Canadian landscape painters. He joined the Group in 1932. Fitzgerald was the only Group member to be based in Western Canada. He taught and worked at the Winnipeg School of Art (1929 - 1947).
In 2003, the Royal Canadian Mint produced a gold coin based on Fitzgerald's 1929 work "Houses".
