Passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan 2, 1973 at Saginaw General Hospital.Age 72 years.He was born July 5, 1900, in the farm that has been his lifelong home.He had engaged in farming all of his life.He was a member of the Nelson Methodist Church and the Seven Star Lodge No 7, I.O.O.F.He married Nina Kent (sic) July 6, 1924. She survives him.He also leaves four sons and one daughter, Rolland, Duane and Wesley Erskine, all of Hemlock; Harold Erskine, Rockton, Ill. Mrs. Duane (Dolores) Aelick, Connorsville, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Welby Erskine, Hemlock; Mrs. Mae Finger, Saginaw.Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Case Chapel in Merrill.Rev. John Huhtala will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.Friends may call at the chapel after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.Those, who so desire, may make memorials to their favorite charity.
