Loreen McBurney Lusby, 91, of Carrollton, died March 19, 2005, at her residence. She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Worthville, the daughter of the late Harry James and Nettie Belle McCreary McBurney. She was a homemaker and member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by three brothers, Robert C. McBurney Sr. of Carrollton, James Edward McBurney of Tamalis, Calif., and Lawrence Thornton McBurney of Lorena, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Lusby; a sister, Shiela Cardress McBurney; and four brothers, Ronald Kenneth McBurney, Harry McBurney, Homer McBurney and Floyd McBurney.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. March 23 at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. March 24 with the Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Ghent Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry McBurney, Robert C. McBurney II, Hugh McBurney, Jerry McBurney Sr., William Harry Crase and Dean Miller.
