About Lorraine Elizabeth Stenke
Lorraine Elizabeth Stenke
Lorraine Elizabeth Stenke, the daughter of Louis Stenke and Ruanna (Mohlmann) Stenke, was born April 24, 1931, in Delton Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. At the age of 6 years, Lorraine contracted Polio and had been affected by the disease for the remainder of her life. Lorraine was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
During her youth, she attended elementary school in Mountain Lake. Later, Lorraine attended and graduated from Windom High School. For many years Lorraine lived in California where she was employed in a bookstore during the 1960’s.
Most recently, Lorraine had lived in San Antonio, Texas. Her employment included working as a file clerk and she also worked at a bookstore.
For the last five years, Lorraine had also been fighting cancer. She died on July 1st at the Oak Hill Care Center in San Antonio, Texas. She came to live to the age of 58 years, 2 months, and 7 days.
Lorraine was the sister of Robert Stenke of Monticello, Minnesota, Rolland Stenke of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Esther Seffel of San Antonio, Texas.
