Member of Committee of Correspondence, 1775-1776; his house was the place of rendezvous; Private, Captain David Wilder's Company, Colonel John Whitcomb's Regiment, which marched at the Lexington alarm; served seven days; re-enlisted, same Corripany, Colonel Asa Whitcomb's Regiment, April-August, 1775, at Prospect Hill; also Sergeant, Captain N. Carter's Company, Colonel A. Stearns's Regiment; marched to Williamstown on an alarm, August 22, 1777; service, eleven days; also Lieutenant, Captain James Hosley's Company, Colonel Jonathan Reed's Regiment; re-enforced the Northern Army under Major-General Gates, SeptemberNovember, 1777. Descendants: Charles Montraville Green. Robert Montraville Green.
  • ASA KENDALL, born 1735, Dunstable, Mass.; died 1816, Ashley, Mass. He was a member of the Dunstable committee, 1775; servel as lieutenant in Capt. James Hosley's Volunteers, Col. Jonathan Reed's Regiment. He married Sarah Williams. His son Asa, Jr. (qv) married Mary Wallace; son Oliver married Lucy Wellington; daughter Mary married Nathaniel Foster.
